Pet-Friendly Taxis

Travelling with your four-legged friend? We’re happy to help.

Falcon Taxis 247 offers pet-friendly vehicles for passengers travelling with dogs. To help us keep our vehicles clean, comfortable and suitable for everyone, we ask pet owners to follow a few simple guidelines.

Which Dogs Can Travel?

We only allow one dog per vehicle.

We can normally accommodate one small or medium-sized dog, up to approximately knee height, in our pet-friendly vehicles.

When booking, please let us know that you will be travelling with a dog. This allows us to find a suitable driver and vehicle for your journey.

Assistance dogs are treated separately from our standard pet policy and will be accommodated in accordance with applicable requirements.

Driver & Vehicle Suitability

Not every driver or vehicle will be suitable for carrying pets.

Some drivers may have allergies, personal concerns or may simply not feel comfortable carrying a particular animal. A driver may therefore decline to carry a pet if they do not feel comfortable or believe it would be unsuitable or unsafe to do so.

Where possible, we will offer or arrange a more suitable pet-friendly vehicle instead.

For this reason, please always tell us that you are travelling with a dog when making your booking, rather than waiting until the vehicle arrives.

Please Help Us Keep Our Vehicles Clean

Our vehicles carry many different passengers throughout the day and everyone expects to travel in a clean and comfortable vehicle.

Excessive Hair

We understand that a small amount of pet hair can be unavoidable. However, if your dog leaves excessive hair in the vehicle, we may ask you to remove or clean it before leaving.

If excessive hair is left behind and the vehicle needs to be taken out of service for cleaning, a £35 cleaning charge will apply.

The £35 charge contributes towards having the vehicle cleaned and compensating for the driver’s time off the road while the vehicle is being cleaned and cannot accept other passengers.

Serious Soiling

£100 Cleaning Charge

If a dog causes more serious soiling that requires additional or specialist cleaning, a £100 cleaning charge will apply.

This may include: Urine or faeces, vomit, significant mud or dirt, heavy contamination of seats or carpets, any other soiling requiring deep or specialist cleaning

This charge helps cover the cost of cleaning and the time the vehicle may need to remain off the road and unavailable for other passengers.

Before You Travel

DO

DON’T

A Little Preparation Makes a Big Difference

If your dog is known to shed, please consider bringing a blanket, towel or protective covering.

If you’ve been out for a muddy walk, giving your dog’s paws and coat a quick clean before entering the vehicle can make a big difference.

Remember, another passenger may be getting into the vehicle shortly after your journey. Helping us keep the vehicle clean means we can continue providing pet-friendly transport while maintaining the standards all our passengers expect.
